A Big YES, you can share it Sir Felix. Thanks!
Appreciate it. Very relevant .. will do. Love your blogs.
Thank you George for all this information.
I have a question though.
Lets say I have 3 clients in September. I issue 3 non-vat receipts.
So does that mean:
1. When I file my 2551M, I just total my gross earning from the 3 clients to get the total tax which I input in the form?
2. I have Sept. 21 – Oct. 20 to file and pay for that tax?
3. Does this mean the return period is Oct. 30?
Thank you!
And I appreciate that you do this. So far, you have the most relevant information on the internet about filing taxes haha.
Hi Andrei, thanks for the compliment. It should be the last day of the month when filing a BIR Form 2551M. For September 2551M, the tax return period is September 30, for October 2551M, the tax return period is October 31. September 2551M should be filed on or before October 20 and October 2551M should be filed on or before November 20.
Ahhh! Great! Thank you! I look forward to seeing more stuff from you!
Hi Sir,
Just for clarification, my COR Registered Activities under Tax Type stated INCOME TAX, Registration Fee and Percentage Tax – Monthly. Do I need to submit Quarterly Income Tax Return (1701Q) or only Annual Income Tax Return (1701)?
Thank you for your response.
Hi Renan. Yes you need to file Quarterly ITR and Annual ITR.
Hi George, thank you for this very informative source. I’m still a bit confuse, I’ve just registered at the BIR this month. Non-Vat for Educational Support Services Online. I have 3 questions to ask, I hope you could give me a little clarification.
1. I have a client that will automatically deduct/withhold (from what I know this year) 8% tax of my earnings. Is that the 2551M form? Or will I still need to file 2551M on my own on top of the 8% tax that was already withheld by my client?
2. If I’ve just registered this month, does that mean that my filling on February 20 for the month of January will be “non operation”?
3. Will it be more adviceable to just get an independent bookkeeper or accountant that will help me with all these taxes and books until I learn the rope of it? I just really don’t want to mess up with my taxes..
Thank you very much. Please continue what you’re doing, you just don’t know how much help you’re giving us.
Hi Czza, Thank you!
1. Under TRAIN law 2551M monthly is changed to 2551Q quarterly.
2. No need to file monthly. For an individual, it will be a quarterly basis. 2551Q and 1701Q but you should consider the option that BIR give for a self-employed individual:
Your choice of filing in the 1st quarter will be your basis in filing for the whole year.
a. 2551Q + 1701Q
b. 1701Q only
3. You may consider the cost benefit of hiring a bookkeeper vs the time you will spend doing on your own
